Poetry: "West of Sunrise"
Waking each evening, conscious like madness
Of the forward horizon, clinging to its darkness—
gripped by a devil in the deep blue sky
unwilling to remain, unable to fly –
motion’s continuous, but still it’s static,
dreamlike, uninspired, automatic
the future, it seems, always lies
awaiting brilliance—
west of sunrise.
