Poetry: "Composition-Decomposition"

You’re voracious now, shark-like,

Losing teeth by the mouthful,

Grating those you pass, cutting through

Waves – hello and goodbye repeat,

A record too short grows

Too familiar, now sickening;

New currents to redirect, to lead you

To new schools of thoughts flashing

Silvery across the surface, just out of reach,

Veiled in another world, teasing, beckoning,

Sirens calling you with promises,

That ring in your ears, reminding you

That sirens mean E.R.s and sterile walls

Too organized for comfort;

It’s only the early stages of the grave,

Spicing for the worms.
